The public university lacked a single system that would centralize the sharing of multimedia materials for students and staff. Until then, lecturers used different tools and storage drives, without a common publishing or access standard.
As a public institution, the university had to provide recordings in line with digital accessibility requirements, including captions, which was difficult to ensure with scattered materials. Access control, data and image protection, and GDPR compliance were also important.
What was needed was a solution that would combine publishing, secure storage, and post-production of materials in one cohesive environment – together with hardware infrastructure ready to handle advanced video projects and ensure data security.
